† Born a poor boy to a mortal family. † Was sold to be used as cattle by his father after his mother's untimely passing. † Grew up riddled with holes, festering a great and terrible resentment towards the man he viewed as a traitor and those that used him as little more than livestock. † Madness sparked within his cerebrum, a flame that went unnoticed by his owners. A wicked scheme nipping behind the would be softness of pale irises. † The family's daughter held a liking for him, often treating him with a kindness that he would eventually use against her. He uses her, and for all her blissful ignorance, she thinks it is she in control. Finally, he declares his love for her in softness as he beds her. He asks to become part of her world, to marry her. She obliges and turns him. † She was the last to die. The others had grown fat and comfortable in their immense wealth and power. They believed themselves untouchable. They did not beware the hatred and malice that had festered like an open wound for the better part of sixteen years. † He watched from the dining room as their daughter swung like a pendulum, the curtains mostly drawn save for the one she so haplessly dangled before. Her words, her pleas were muffled nonsense from behind the shut windows. He wanted to know what the sunlight would do to him now, a warmth he hardly ever felt in his servitude. So he watched her become dust and cinder as his mouth filled with the blood wine the family did so enjoy. She must have cursed him so in those moments, the raw screaming blending coherent words into pure anguish as her skin broke apart like dry soil. The thought brought a boyish simper to his lips, dripping red from the corners. † He adopted their name, he took their home. He took their business, a disgusting, repulsive affair, but one lucrative, giving him more than he could have ever wished for. † In the years since, he developed a reputation for finding things quite boring. Where he appears, disaster is usually swift to follow in his wake. |
