Grellum's Rampage

The mid-day sun warms the summer sands below and reflections of white ripples, dances, along the curling tops of sea-foam waves.  Each rolls into the shore, cooling the toes of those eager for a day's respite away from the toils of Klewyths grand cities.  It's serene, quiet, save for the occasional caw of sea-birds diving into the sea, eagerly searching for the fish that lurk beneath.  While the day had promised relaxation, it now offers an eerie silence.  The birds are quiet; they've vanished into the waves.  Unsuspectingly, they've become a sea creature's prey.  Seeking tentacles pull this aggressive creature from the growing waves while its grasp hooks around the ankle of an unsuspecting woman, her screams frightening before falling to terrifying possibilities of quiet.  In an instant, she was gone, devoured, fuel for the beast's ire.  He rises from the ocean in full, a massive colour-changing octopus whose eyes gleam with unsatiated hunger. Starting HP:  400

Julie says wow, it sure is a nice day to go get some shells from the beach when suddenly a giant slime thing emerges from the ocean and eats a girl. Of course, that's scary as heck and she thinks about going home but dad said to help people in trouble so she GUESSES she'll go try to stab it in one of its weird tentacle things that are trying to curl around a child's ankle. She grazes it with her hook knife and makes it recoil.

Nothing beats floating lazy on the ocean blue on a hot summer day. Drink in hand, trunks, sunglasses and a nice unicorn floaty. That is until the sea suddenly turns into an angry boiling hot pot and tentacles start flailing around. The peaceful reverie is shattered by a woman's scream of terror, and Lif is pretty sure he'd beheld this scene in a foreign picture magazine a time or two, that is until she gets straight up cronched instead of - well, nevermind. Glasses go up, brows risen and wide eyed as one of the tentacles lash in his direction. His only weapon, the sharp end of his umbrella straw, does nothing, nor does his desperate doggy paddles to get away from the limb as it launches him and his raft sky high on a frothing wave. Capsized and leaving him gulping for air once he finds 'up'.

Bare feet sank into the warm sands as eyes flickered over all which surrounded her. Familiarity filled her vision upon both beach and waves though before a voice could call out something more peculiar captured the kitsune’s gaze. Sights flickering sharply as a shrill scream ripped through the calm, senses fixing upon one being hauled away by a gargantuan tentacle which had erupted from the sea. Terror cut short as the resounding crunch of a creature’s beak sliced easily through bone until naught but the carved trail of sand remained. 

Masked fur subconsciously bristled at the sight as a mix of unease and protectiveness swelled within her breast. No time given to think or worry over those known as one of those waving appendages flung her way. A snarl rising to her throat as fangs snapped against delicious octopus only for the tendril to be wrenched from her grasps before a true taste could be acquired.
