The war has taken its toll upon the people of Vufrien. The eyes of the citizens are dark, hollow, sunken with grief and growing with desperation. With still no land to plant crops, there is an ill feeling of despair creeping through the streets. Once vibrant and filled with life, the capitol has the air of an open grave now. Smiles are few and far between, and tension bleeds like a pulse. However, there's a careful flicker of hope spreading through the downtrodden: whispers of revolution.

The word and proof come from Lunenlow Gulf, folk boasting of full bellies for the first time in recent memory. They sing the praises of a man destined to be king, to lead them from this time of tribulation. In spite of this anticipation, those who witnessed the carnage of Dunmeath still hold nervous apprehension over the unknown and deadly storm that yet festers there. No living thing can escape the perilous bolts of crimson lightening that peel through the thick clouds with perilous accuracy.

The Queen has secretly vied among her council for strong mages to investigate the occurrences that surround Dunmeath or any who may have inclinations as to the savagery that continues to plague the land. There is a hefty reward promised for any to come forth with tangible evidence or explanation as to the happening. However, to the vast public, she has issued a warning of distance - even the supernatural are vulnerable to a death most permanent at the whims of whatever maestro commands the symphony of destruction. 

To further bolster morale and dissuade the concern of her citizenry, she had provided other means of entertainment. Many houses within Lavalles have received an envelope containing a missive to join in some fun and games. The Long Night, an insidious concoction of lascivious games or vicious intent, all for you to decide.
