A smile would gently grace delicate features of her visage in his compliance in the art of exchanging letters. A feat she enjoyed doing though something that had been lacking more than she’d care to admit since the passing of her late husband. Occasionally she would write to Arabella or her brother in regards of her lessons or even to Sir Coen knowing his presence lingered even after the passing of Christoph. Though such exchanges were rare, if not few and far between. With the construction of the school underway, was all the more of an excuse to stray away from the things she enjoyed once upon a time and would say so even with the somber smile draped upon her face. Perhaps we can have lunch again another time, then Golden sunrise gaze would find Noctum again, as he returned from relocating the box of literature that she eagerly wished to sift and sort through soon enough. “I do not see why not.” she agreed following a genial nod of confirmation. “It is not often I eat out, but it is nice once in a while if the days are too long to prepare a meal.” she shrugged. Her portions were usually on the lighter side lest she forego lunch and dinner all the same. Sonata was not the one to complain terribly on the matter. She couldn’t help but wonder though, if he would be opposed to her offering a meal she made too? Perhaps another time… she considered. Ah, before I forget. Sonata blinked, mildly perplexed as she turned to him just as she readied herself to lead onward to the recommended café only to notice the slow melding shift of the horns that adorned his skull began to disappear. There was the slight tug of curiosity gnawing at the back of her throat wishing to ask why he made the decision to hide a feature that defined him? The weighted sigh did not go unnoticed though he seemed dismissive of the matter and instead offered a simper; Shall we? I am excited for sandwhiches. The teacher blurted a girlish laugh as she sought to take his hand. “This way then,” she mused before leading the way down the street from the schoolyard. Silver and lilac curls bouncing amicably in the unison of her movements before waving off to the laborers who continued to busily repair the wear of the smaller, quaint school building. Venturing to the café was a short walk before coming upon the small little café entrance, pulling the door setting off the little chiming bell announcing her entry. “Take a seat anywhere hon, be right with ‘ya, Nati!” Came an elders bellow from behind the counters. “Thank you, Ann!” Sonata chimed back amicably before motioning to the small two-seated table by the nearest window. “Is this spot alright?” she asked, glancing towards the librarian with a hopeful smile. |
