The North Pole's big disaster

"Why do we call them helpers, anyways?"  Mr. Claus grumbles as he looks outside the frosty panes of the workshop window.  A growing pile of snowballs has gathered on the lawn as elves ferry them into an organized stack.  "It seems there was a mixup this year, sir."  A smaller voice responds anxiously.  "The ink was smudged on the orders and instead of wrapping paper, the elves took it upon themselves to use snowballs!"  The hefty man shakes his head with an increasingly disappointed sigh.  Someone should call the education department if this is what they think presents should be wrapped in.  All of the electronics will be ruined!  The books will be soggy and no one likes a soggy book.  The old man wrinkles his forehead and massages the bridge of his nose.  "There's no time to fix this mess so we'll have to just make do.  We'll deliver what we can but if we get another negative review on Google, we're done for.  Jeff Bezos has been waiting to monopolize this gig for years now.  We can't afford to let this Christmas disappoint the folks on Hemlock and Lace!"
