Battle of Dunmeath |

The king strikes |
|
The forces of his majesty, Oliver Kürschner, have begun their march against the stolen city of Dunmeath. Before they can take back the city, however, they must first take hold of the outskirts. Doing so will not be an easy task, however, as the queen's general, Theodred, has set up defenses. There are traps, flesh golems and outpost towers that the attackers must first handle before they can make it inside. Attackers must also be weary of the opposing forces siege weapons. A ballista is mounted close to the south-facing road leading out of Dunmeath. The towers are utilizing hand cannons and fire arrows. |

The Rules |
|
While war generally has no rules, ours does. - There is no posting order. - No more than two people can target a played character at once. If you are targeting a played character, they determine whether your attacks hit and to what severity. - Unless you're in a 1v1, we ask that you just post attack summaries to keep things moving swiftly. - In the event of a NPC retaliation, you may choose which attack hits your character out of their given attacks. - Each golem must be defeated before progressing to the next phase of the war. - The king is guarded by Aethelos. If you wish to attack the king directly, he must be dealt with first. - There are hundreds of NPC's for your character to attack/utilize. Successfully defeating one will take down the opposite forces by 5. - Landing a critical hit on a NPC (except for the golems and king cockerel) will instantly kill it. - A summary table will be posted below. If you decide to use your own, please make sure it follows the same format. - You may not land a death blow to any played character without prior permission. Your characters role in the battle does not necessarily have to be confined to fighting. Characters may also choose to scout ahead and attempt to disarm traps, assassinate tower guards, steal the ballista, protect the king, steal enemy weapons/treasures, capture POWs, rescue hostages, and relocate civilians. Attempting one of these actions (with exception to guarding the king) must wait on staff response before you can move forward so keep that in mind! I would also like to say that things MAY change as the battle progresses. This is our first time doing such an event so if we notice things are becoming unfair or unbalanced, we'll make whatever changes we need to ensure the quality of everyone's experience! I apologize in advance if we need to do so. |
